Rei: Keeper of Dreams

Night 4

If only...

Rei and Alicia were laying down in the middle of the DreamScape wehre the stand that held Alicia's dream orb stood. They were talking and eating what Rei called a "Forgiveness Cantaloupe", it was to make up for leaving her to suffer the nightmare she had the night before.

"I told my mom about my nightmare and how I heard a voice saying it'd be alright, now she believes I have a crush on someone because she thinks you hear your cruch's voice comforting you during nightmares...Thanks a lot..." Rei laughed "Well sorry, you just looked too sad to leave you all alone! Would you have preferred me there, holding you?" "No! Stay out of my dreams" he laughed more "Anyway...Your mom sounds kinda nice....If I was human...I would do a bunch of crazy things! I don't care if i risk my life, that's where all the fun comes from!"  Alicia sat up "But can't you already do whatever you want and more?" He shrugged "Yeah, but it's no fun when you know you won't die from it...I would do all sorts of things like sky dive and swim with sharks and mess with venomous snakes and wrestle alligators an-" Alicia shoved a piece of cantaloupe in his mouth "If you were human, good luck to whoever gets stuck with you"

He swallowed it and looked at her "No one's gonna want to be stuck with me! They won't be able to handle me!" She laughs a bit "And that's exactly why I said good luck to them!" He looked down "Yeah....Hey Alicia...I wanna show you something, but It's not ready yet! I know it's a little early for you but could you wake up so I'll have some extra time to finish it?" Alicia stood up and dusted herself off "Uhh...Sure, I guess...I'll see you tomorrow night then...Bye..." Rei waved goodbye as she slowly faded.

When she was completely gone, he stood up and looked around "...I know you're here...Stop hiding..." a boy stepped out from behind all of the dream orbs and glared at Rei "Okay...Explain yourself...Why can't I find a dream orb for you...Are you even human...Or did you somehow manifest yourself in the wrong DreamScape..." the boy continued to stare as Rei waited impatiently for an answer "Well?" "You are a fool, Rei..." before he had a chance to respond,  black shadows came up from behind Rei and engulfed him, then melted into the ground taking him too " I will fix the mess you've created..." the boy walked up to Alicia's dream orb and flicked it before walking away. A single crack shattered its smooth surface.
